CO-2 Laser
This heat laser effectively vaporizes surface skin lesions, enlarged surface glands, keratosis, lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation flaws.
How Is It Done?
• Depending on the area to be treated, you’ll receive either local, twilight, or general anesthetic.
• You’ll wear protective goggles.
• The infrared light vaporizes surface skin cells. New skin cells develop, giving you a smooth, fresh layer of skin.
Recovery:
• You will need to hide for 1 week.
• As your skin heals, it will flake and scab for up to 10 days.
• Make-up can be worn after 7-10 days.
• Most patients return to normal activities in about 10 days.
• You’ll need to stay out of the sun for about 2 months.
• The lasered skin will be reddish-pink for 2-3 months.

This laser very effectively diminishes wrinkles, fine lines, and acne scarring. It is a “cooler” laser than the CO-2 because less heat is transferred to the underlying tissue. This speeds recovery and reduces unwanted pigment changes.
How Is It Done?
• Depending on the area to be treated, you’ll receive either local, twilight, or general anesthetic.
• You’ll wear protective goggles.
• The light energy from the laser vaporizes surface skin cells very effectively, but transmits virtually no heat.
Recovery:
• Your skin will feel like it has a bad sunburn and will be quite sensitive for 24-36 hours.
• Within 5-7 days, you can begin wearing make-up.
• The area will remain pinkish for about 2 months, during which time you need to stay out of the sun.
• You can return to your normal routine and exercising immediately.
• Most people have no scarring.

Lyra-YAG Laser
This laser treatment delivers infrared energy into the deeper dermis, stimulating a build-up of collagen and reducing oil gland size. This can improve the texture and tone of the surface skin. It’s also one of the best hair removal lasers on the market. This laser can be used on all colors of skin, as well as tanned skin.
How Is It Done?
• Depending on the area to be treated, you may receive either topical or local anesthetic.
• You’ll wear protective goggles.
• The light energy from the laser is pulsed through a cooling hand piece. The temperature feels warm/hot, but is quite tolerable.
Recovery:
• You can return to your normal activities and exercising immediately.
• There is no scarring.

Orion KTP Laser
This laser treatment is ideal for lightening red and brown blemishes, such as spider veins, enlarged surface glands, bumps and skin lesions, pigmentation and port wine stains. Yet, the wavelength doesn’t affect surface skin cells. The KTP laser can also be used with the Lyra-YAG laser to stimulate the skin’s collagen deposits, for a smooth, toned look.
How Is It Done?
• Orange goggles will protect your eyes from the laser beam, which is an emerald-green wavelength.
• The laser light is absorbed by hemoglobin in blood vessels, causing them to shrink. It’s also absorbed by abnormal dark pigment deposits, which then work their way to the skin surface and peel off within about 1 week.
Recovery:
• You might feel a quick sensation like a rubber-band snap on the treated area.
• Treated red spots may be a brighter red for a short time, which can be covered with make-up. Some patients have slight scabbing.
• Treated brown areas may get scabby for up to 2 weeks.
